Wilmington Man Indicted in 2.7M Embezzlement Scheme
By Peter MacArthur/Kelli Steele

A Wilmington man has been indicted, accused of embezzling more than $2.7 million from his former employer.

The U.S. Attorney's office says 45-year-old Kevin Boardman served as Director of Aviation for Company A located in Delaware County, Pennsylvania.

The indictment says Boardman established fake companies through which he submitted false invoices and stole from the company.

He drew up about 50 invoices from those companies then billed his employer, and had the checks sent to a bogus business address.

If convicted, Boardman could face up to 20 years in prison on each of the 10 counts against him, and a $2.5 million fine.
