Christmas Brings Increased Traffic Congestions
The holidays bring presents cookies and lots of... Traffic. DelDOT reminds drivers to anticipate heavier than normal traffic on Delaware's roadways beginning on Saturday, December 22. As expected this weekend, mall and retail center traffic will be particularly congested. Traffic accidents and other unpredictable types of transportation incidents may cause lane closures and/or delays. DelDOT’s Transportation Management Center will monitor over 5,500 miles of state-maintained roads around the clock during the holiday season. If you are driving DelDOT reminds you to leave early, be safe and expect delays.
