Salisbury Bypass Accident

Sunday morning two people were injured when a tire blown out while there were traveling on the Salisbury Bypass. Maryland State Police report the SUV overturned when the vehicle veered of the road and struck the guardrail in the center median. The driver, 21 year old Khayree Hamid Jackson of Philadelphia was ejected from the vehicle, taken to PRMC and later flown out to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore. The passenger, 25 year old Lakeisha Sherman of Philadelphia was entrapped in the vehicle. After being removed from the vehicle she was taken to PRMC where she is listed in serious condition. Their 7-month-old son was in a child safety seat fastened in the rear seat of the vehicle and was also taken to PRMC for evaluation and later released to family members. The crash is still under investigation.
