The costs of clearing Delaware roadways during this snowy winter are closing in on ten-million dollars.

The Delaware Department of Transportation says more than 65-thousand tons of salt have been used since the start of the winter.

Other costs include overtime, reimbursing subdivisions for some costs, and clearing sidewalks in parts of the state.

The response to winter storms as of this weekend has cost Deldot $9,659,635 - with more than a month of winter to go.
