Delaware State Police have identified a 65-year-old Maryland man who was killed in a two-vehicle wreck east of Delmar.

Police say shortly after noon Tuesday, 65-year-old Alfred Gilmore of Salisbury was traveling on Old Stage Road approaching Whitesville Road, where there was a posted stop sign.

For unknown reasons Gilmore went through the stop sign and drove into the path of a truck.

Both vehicles landed on their right sides.

Gilmore was taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

The other driver, 55-year-old Robert Malaby, also from Salisbury, was not hurt.
