Delaware State Police make meth arrest in Bridgeville

Delaware State Police arrest a Bridgeville man for running a meth lab at a home on Rabbit Run Road.

Police say 53-year-old Alton Rose Jr. was arrested Wednesday morning after the Sussex County Drug Task Force, the Delaware State Police Special Operations Response Team, DNREC and Bridgeville Fire Department responded to 4727 Rabbit Run Road to conduct a search warrant in response to a methamphetamine investigation.

53-year-old Alton Rose Jr. was taken into custody immediately, and the search produced equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of meth along with key ingredients in making the drug. Police also found 21 firearms with various types of ammunition.

Rose is charged with two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, operation of a clandestine lab, possession with intent to deliver meth, resisting arrest and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Rose is at Sussex Correctional Institution on $91,800 cash bond.

Rabbit Run Road was closed in the area of the home for about four hours during the investigation.
