Five arrested in Milton drug case

Five people face drug charges following an arrest in Milton.

Town police and State Police say a search warrant was carried out at a home on Bennett Street following an investigation that lasted several months.

According to troopers, 24-year-old Colby Hopkins was found to be in possession of suspected heroin, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

24-year-old Andrew Reed of Harbeson also is charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

23-year-old Zachary Caras of Lewes, 28-year-old Rick Barth of Milton and 26-year-old Robert Baynum of Milton are also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

State police say their search also turned up a shotgun and over $1,400 in suspected drug proceeds.

A storage bin in Lewes linked to the defendants also was found to contain an additional 104 individual bags of suspected heroin.
