Sat. is Imagine a Litter-Free Delaware Day
By Mark Fowser

For the eleventh year, volunteers are taking oart in a day of cleaning up trash and debris along Delaware roadways as part of "Imagine a Litter-Free Delaware Day."

Hundreds of Adopt-a-Highway volunteers will be fanning out across the state between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Last year's effort removed more than 3,500 bags of litter, which DelDOT says was enough to fill 17 school buses.

Transportation Secretary Jennifer Cohan is expected to join Miss Delaware Brooke Mitchell to lend a hand in cleaning up litter along Killens Pond Road.

Also, you are asked to use caution and slow down if you see groups of people working along the roadways.
