New legislation is aimed at the growing problem of trash along Delaware roadways, especially in Sussex County.

If you take a drive around the back roads in Sussex County, it will not take long to see trash along the road.

A concurrent resolution that passed the House on Thursday, January 28, creates the Delaware Anti-Dumping and Anti-Littering Task Force.

Representative Rich Collins is the primary sponsor of the legislation:

The task force will consist of members from county and statewide agencies; including the Attorney General’s Office, DNREC and the State Farm Bureau.

In addition to the task force, Collins tells Delaware 105.9 that a chapter of "Keep America Beautiful" will also setup in Delaware to curb the littering problem.
