IPoD Nominates Steven Washington as its Candidate for Mayor of Wilmington

The Independent Party of Delaware unanimously nominated Steven Washington as its 2016 candidate for Mayor of Wilmington at its 2016 State Convention, held in Dover on Saturday.

Mr. Washington is a special educator in the Brandywine School District; he is also the Founder and President of the Norfolk State University Alumni Association Delaware Chapter, Inc. and the Founder and Chairman of the HBCU Delaware Coalition Inc.

Washington has long been concerned with a wide variety of issues and problems facing the people and City of Wilmington and is looking forward to serving the people of Wilmington as the city’s first Independent Mayor.
