A man is under arrest in connection with the shooting death of a woman at the American Legion in Princess Anne.
Maryland State Police say 26-year-old Tawanda Blake of Pocomoke City was shot early Saturday and later died in the hospital.
Later in the day, 26-year-old Jesse Copes of Princess Anne was arrested and charged with murder and other offenses, including being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
Troopers say witness accounts indicate that there was an argument in the parking lot which escalated into a scuffle at which point police say Copes pulled out a handgun and started firing.
