A Wilmington man carrying a handgun is arrested Saturday morning.

Wilmington Police say an officer observed Steffone Ross-Miller engaging in suspicious activity on Saturday morning in the 300 block of North Rodney Street.

Police say Ross-Miller fled on foot, when police attempted to make contact with him.
He was tackled by an officer in the 300 block of Delamore Place, before he tried to get rid of a loaded .380 caliber handgun.

Ross-Miller, who is a convicted felon, was committed to the Howard Young Correctional Institute; he's being held in lieu of $21,000 cash bail.
