Excavator Catches Fire Near Oak Orchard

An excavator catches fire in Oak Orchard.
Firemen from Indian River were called out around 2:30 Tuesday afternoon for the fire on Bay Farm Road.
Crews had been clearing trees and mulching branches when the equipments' engine caught fire; an operator was able to use a fire extinguisher to douse the flames before firemen arrived.
Only minor damage was done to the excavator.
