UPDATE: Efforts continue to clear Del. roads

It's been a day-long effort to clear the roads of Delmarva, following a winter storm that brought up to seven inches of snow to parts of Delaware.

Although Kent and Sussex Counties received lower amounts, Jim Westhoff of the Delaware Department of Transportation says the bitter cold and gusty winds have presented serious challenges.

As temperatures drop to the single digits Friday night, DelDOT is asking you to postpone any unnecessary travel because of slippery roadways.
