The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are speaking out against the City of Salisbury after the city asked the USDA Wildlife Service to euthanize hundreds of geese to control overpopulation.

PETA spokeswoman Kristen Rickman spoke to Delaware 105.9's Rob Sussman o Wednesday, saying that the city wasn't trying hard enough to get rid of the geese without resorting to lethal means.

Rickman talked about methods ranging from redesigning parks to be less goose-friendly to lancing the geese eggs to prevent the population from growing, a method Rob called "Goose Abortion".
