Dogs Outside

Dogs in Delaware continue to be a protected class with a new bill coming out of Dover.

Under SB 139, dogs can't be outside for more than 15 minutes during hazardous weather.

The one exception: dogs that protect cattle or chickens can remain outside and unattended IF they have access to a building.

Bobby from Harrington says he can't keep his dogs in the house even in bad weather.

Also, dogs can no longer be tied up for more than two hours without a caretaker present.
