Converse shoe company has launched a new ad campaign to promote their LGBTQ inspired shoe line, and they've hired six models from the LGBTQ community to star in it.

One of these models is 11 year old Desmond Napoles, known online as "Desmond is Amazing". Desmond is a self professed "drag kid" and has performed in full drag regalia in parades and at nightclubs in the past. In October, he drew attention when he posted a video on youtube of a performance at a San Francisco nightclub in which he is seen removing clothing and dancing provocatively to Gwen Stefani's "I'm Just a Girl" to the adulation of the adult audience, at least one of which hands him money.

A Facebook post promoting the inclusion of Desmond in the campaign was flooded with criticism from commenters. Earlier Tuesday, Converse added a comment promising to report any comments it deemed hateful.

What do you think of this ad campaign?

Rob Sussman argued that the campaign is the result of so-called "woke capitalism" run amok (click to listen).
