Delaware Division of Public Health temporarily closed Sherri’s Crab Cakes mobile unit in the Bayside Outlets, Rehoboth Beach on August 21.
The major violation observed by Public Health included "no handwashing sink available for handwashing"... "the nearest bathroom for handwashing is 9 stores away"
The closure order also stated that a handwashing sink previously approved had been removed. The mobile food cart was ordered to replace the sink for handwashing before the business would be allowed to re-open.
The Delaware Division of Public Health has ordered temporary closures of several eateries in 2019. Sherri's re-inspection happened on Aug 22.
Businesses like Sherri's Crabcakes are allowed to re-open after fixing the violations and having a re-inspection.
