Authorities have conformed that three children are dead following a fire in Long Neck.
The fire broke out on Scarp Street shortly after 2:30 p.m, in the Pots Nets Community.
Indian River Volunteer Fire Company President Patrick Miller told WBOC "We were initially dispatched for a structure fire for reported subjects trapped, when we came on scene we found heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the residence."
Delaware State Police report all three children were under the age of five. Another child, also under the age of five, was saved from the home by a parent. That child was taken to Beebe Medical center and was later released.
