A man out on bond was arrested again after he was found in possession of more than 60 oxycodone pills, Middletown Police announced Thursday. 

According to authorities, 29-year-old Steven Simmons was a passenger in a vehicle stopped around noon on August 8, 2019, in the area of Cedar Land Road and Whittington Way. A search of his person revealed 63 pills. 

Simmons, out on bond from a July 1, 2019 incident where police said he was found in possession of a firearm 82 oxycodone pills, was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance-Tier IV quantity, possession of a controlled substance-Tier IV quantity, and tampering with physical evidence-suppression. 

Issued a $36,000 cash bond, his previous bond from the July 1 incident was revoked and Simmons was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
