A 36-year-old New Castle man was convicted by a jury of shooting and killing his 41-year-old coworker from Wilmington, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Friday.
According to officials, a Superior Court jury found Bobby Taylor guilty of murdering Aloysisus Taylor at the American Car Wash, where they both worked as detailers, in November 2015.
Taylor went on the lam following the incident, but was located and extradited to Delaware after being arrested in Tennessee on an aggravated assault charge.
Taylor was convicted of second-degree murder and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, and found guilty by a judge during a bench trial of the separate charge of possession of a weapon by a person prohibited for a previous felony conviction on an assault charge.
He faces a minimum mandatory 24 years in prison during future sentencing.
